Kenora boasts several major grocery chains, these being Safeway, Extra Foods, and Real Canadian Wholesale Club. Safeway offers access to Lake of the Woods through it's marina. There are numerous smaller food and convenience stores sprinkled throughout the community.A large, centrally located Mall provides convenient shopping and features a large Zellers and the Extra Foods stores. This complex houses many other fine stores to fill most every need. Kenora's Main street offers a variety of fine shopping in its many smaller stores. For the handy person, Kenora offers hardware outlets which include Home Hardware and a large Canadian Tire store with access to Lake of the Woods via its marina. Keewatin has two major grocery stores, these being Big Way Meat & Sea Food and Keewatin Place. The surrounding area of Jaffray and Melick is serviced by the above stores and the Rabbit Lake Store.

Kenora, is a full service City with a population of 17,000.Situated on Trans Canada Highway 17. 40 kilometers (24 miles) east of the Manitoba border. 200 kilometers (120 miles) east of the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba. 600 kilometers (360 miles) west of the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario. 695 kilometers (417 miles) north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. We are on the north shore of scenic Lake of the Woods. The Towns of Kenora, Keewatin and Jaffray Melick became the City of Kenora on January 1st, 2000.
